Dealing with Home Sickness

I was always with my family but moving to Netherlands for one year was a challenge for me. I had a good job and supportive family here in Doha hence, leaving everything behind and moving to Netherlands was a tough decision for me. However, for me going to Europe was a once in a life time opportunity and doing my specialization in Netherlands was a step that would elevate my future career and give me a competitive edge hence, I took the decision.

I did not felt home sick right after reaching Netherlands. It took time for me to feel that. I felt home sick after one week. Things hit me little too hard. I started missing my mom's food, my friends here in Doha, I started missing the convenience that I had here in Doha. I started feeling alone and lonely. well once my specialization started I made lot of friends however, every night when I come home I used to feel alone and miss my family.

I was falling sick slowly so I knew I have to do something for myself. I helped myself and started reflecting my days. I started thanking Almighty for everything he given me. I started meditating at least 10 mins a day. Things started helping me and I started feeling better. Reflecting my days helped me the most and I realized my goals. When I realized my Goals I became focused and felt relaxed.

Yes we all feel home sick when we go away from our family but life is not easy. We have to help ourselves to reach goals and succeed.

I have heard that night life is mesmerizing in Brussels.    That's all for today's post. In next post I will talk about the famous church in Belgium.

Breath Taking Blue Mosque of Istanbul

Blue Mosque is one of the iconic Tourist spot of Istanbul. I have seen the mosque in Television and on social media. Experiencing the view and the architectural beauty from very close was an exceptional experience for me. Blue Mosque is also known as Sultan Ahmed Mosque. The interior of the mosque is exceptional and the architecture is mesmerizing. The detailing of the mosque is amazing. Well, the mosque is still functioning hence, it is important to visit the mosque when it is not prayer time. The dome is has its own detailed artwork. The light can pass through the dome work. There are detailed lamps and lantern in the dome.  It is definitely a experience that no one should miss.
