I was always with my family but moving to Netherlands for one year was a challenge for me. I had a good job and supportive family here in Doha hence, leaving everything behind and moving to Netherlands was a tough decision for me. I did not felt home sick right after reaching Netherlands. It took time for me to feel that. I felt home sick after one week. Things hit me little too hard. I started missing my mom's food, my friends here in Doha, I started missing the convenience that I had here in Doha. I started feeling alone and lonely. well once my specialization started I made lot of friends however, every night when I come home I used to feel alone and miss my family. Cotton Candy Snow in Vienna

Vienna the capital city of Austria was a wonderful experience for me. In January 2020 I visited Vienna. The time when I visited Vienna the weather was not favoring me. Austria looks very different in summer. The day I arrived to Vienna it was snowing slightly next day when we were going for city tour it started snowing. It was like white cotton candy. The snow in Vienna was very different than the one in Netherlands, it can be my thought or just the touristic feeling. I loved the fresh snow. It had its own beauty which grabbed me towards it.  I was feeling like a child as I started playing in the snow. Wherever I was looking it was all white. I took endless pictures in the snow. After a while I felt that my legs and hands are frozen and I was shivering in cold hence I walked to the cafe to enjoy a warm cup of cappuccino. I sat in the cafe and enjoyed the snow and the white weather of Vienna.

Lisbon from the Top

Portugal is a hilly country, Lisbon city was made cutting the hills. When you will walk around the city you will see that they do not have any straight road to walk, all the way is up and down. The old city of Lisbon has the highest view point from where you can enjoy the whole view of the city. to reach the top you can either take a Tuk Tuk ride or just walk yourself. There are alternate rides as well like tram, bus and taxi. I have walked little bit at the beginning. You can enjoy the mid view from the point called Miradoura Das portas de sol. This is the view point from a terrace bar.  To reach the highest point of the city I had to take a tuk tuk ride which was for 20 mins if I walked it would have taken me almost 1 hour to reach the top. the highest point is called Miradoura de santa catarina. They highest point is very windy you feel the wind hard there. They view is worth all the struggle and the endless ride. You see the miniature of the Lisbon from the top. you can se...

I stayed there for 3 days so, I wanted to make the most out of the trip. In today's blog I will talk about my favorite spots in Lisbon. I loved Belem tower in Lisbon. The Belem tower is situated at the heart of the town. the tower was built in 1514 and in 1983 it was classified as the world heritage site by UNESCO. The architecture and the view surrounding this heritage was very fascinating. The tower has five floors and the view from the roof is worth the hard ride. Climbing the narrow spiral staircase is a task itself. I was lucky that I traveled in January hence, it was not busy otherwise, you have to wait for hours to climb the top.   It is mandatory to get the tickets to get inside. They have a student discount in place with the student discount I paid only 3 euros which was very affordable. Every floor and the architecture has its...
